Modem HP K Touch E329 Sebagai Webcam di Ubuntu 10.04 atau Linux Mint 9

Ternyata HP K Touch E329 dapat dijadikan sebagai webcam tanpa harus menginstall driver apapun di Linux Ubuntu 10.04 dan Linux Mint 9.
Caranya :
Sambungkan hp dengan komputer!
Ketika muncul pilihan, pilih webcam!

untuk mengecek bahwa hp terdetect sebagai webcam lakukan
# lsusb

Bus 004 Device 002: ID 03f0:7404 Hewlett-Packard Printing Support
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 0e8d:0004 MediaTek Inc. MT6227 phone
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Bus 001 Device 009: ID 0e8d:0004 MediaTek Inc. MT6227 phone adalah webcam dari E329

Aplikasi  yang dapat digunakan adalah Cheese.

Apabila belum terinstall cheese, lakukan :
#apt-get install cheese

Segera jalankan cheese dengan memilih menu : Sound & Video >> Cheese :

Untuk seterusnya, tinggal menjalankan cheese saja.
